This is a list of titles purchased for the three OK Juvenile Centers. Titles range from picture book to adult books with teen appeal. Each title is multiple by three so that all three centers received the same titles and it multiplies the title costs. Some titles are repeated in Playaway format and in Spanish when available.
This is a list of resources I used to find and select titles for the Juvenile Centers. There are more resources available everywhere. Juveniles entering the centers reading levels have a wide range and it was a goal to ensure everyone had something to read and that it reflected themselves. For my final list I referred to either Amazon, if I was just tooling around on the web or Brodart (our book jobber) to read reviews from established book review journals (Kirkus, School Library Journal, Publisher's Weekly, Horn Book, BCCB, etc.) This by no means is an exhaustive list of what's available and I encourage you to find your favorites.
